Beverly Lockhart Robinson

June 4, 1924 — September 3, 2020

ANGIER–Beverly Lockhart Robinson, 96, passed away on Thursday at Greenleaf Care Center in Lillington. Beverly was born in St. Joseph, MO, but Jacksonville, NC was home to her and her late husband, George “Rob” Robinson for over forty years. Beverly was the daughter of the late Wesley Amend Foote and Pearl Grace Scott. Beverly was a beautiful and strong lady. She was always positive with a quick laugh and smile. She loved people and her family very deeply. She was generous, giving, kind and loving. She will be sorely missed by those that knew her. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 10th at 1:00 PM at Raleigh Memorial Park in the mausoleum chapel. Beverly will be lying in state on Wednesday, September 9th from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier for anyone that would like to pay their respects and sign the register. The family will not be present during this time. Family and friends are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear a face mask to the viewing and graveside service. Beverly is survived by her children, Marianne L. Gilbert (Tommy) of Angier, Edward “Randy” Lockhart (Karen) of Morehead City, Richard Lockhart (Gretchen) of Little River, SC; Cindy Ebert (John) of Newport, Kelly Zeigler (Ray) of Hampton, VA, Tracey Bayliss (Richard) of Morehead City; grandchildren, Thomas Gilbert of Fuquay-Varina, Damon Lockhart (Hannah) of August, GA, Kim Holt (Tim) of Apex, Kenny Gilliland of New Bern, Kristine Wilkins (Greg) of Middlesex, Krissy Garner (Jason) of Newport, Michael Zeigler (Andrea) of Midlothian, VA, Nathan Zeigler (Lauren) of Midlothian, VA, Amber Horne of Houston, TX; eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Robinson, Jr.; daughter, Adrianne King; son, Reed Lockhart; sisters, Norma McCullough and Muriel Parmeter. Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church, 238 Chalybeate Springs Rd., Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
