Garner – Adam Ryan Miller, 40, died Tuesday at UNC Hospital Intensive Care. Born in Concord, NC, he was the much loved son of Gilbert Carl and Karen C. Miller, who survive him. Since 1985, he lived in Garner, attending Aversboro Elementary, East Garner Middle and Garner Senior High School where he graduated in 1999. Adam was an Eagle Scout and loved professional wrestling, sports of all kinds, music, his friends and his family. In 2004, he graduated from NCSU with a degree in Communications. His last twenty years were challenging as he suffered greatly with mental illness and eating disorders. He fought both with great effort and diligence. Adam peacefully succumbed to heart failure with his parents at his side. Due to restrictions surrounding Covid-19, a private service will be held at Oleander Memorial Gardens in Wilmington. We wish to thank the numerous healthcare providers along the way who tried so tirelessly to help Adam with his battle. We are forever in your debt. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to a charity of your choice in Adam’s memory. Arrangements by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
