Al Sabino

Garner - Al Sabino, 85, died Saturday. A native of Ohio, he was the son of the late Louis and Rose Carusone Sabino. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Garner Church of Christ, Garner. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton. Al was an avid gardner and loved being outdoors. He took pride in his garden and shared his flowers and plants with everyone. He would also take in any pet that needed a loving home.He is survived by his wife, Linda Sabino; daughter, Cindy Potesta and husband Bob of Morrisville; sons Jim Sabino and wife Gail of Raleigh, Al Sabino, Jr. and wife Kathy of Warren, OH, Lou Sabino and wife Peggy of Nicholasville, KY; step daughter, Patti Leveille and husband, John of Apex; step son, Mike Meese and wife, Missy of Phoenix, AZ.; twelve grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He put family first and loved playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
