Raleigh Our precious angel, Alana Joy Corey, daughter of Victor and Dynasty Corey, was born into the arms of angels on May 18, 2018 at 9:23 a.m. in UNC-Rex Women’s Center, Raleigh NC. Although Alana Joy never spent any time with us on earth, she was very loved, touched many lives, and brought joy to all. Her big sister Harmony made sure every day up until her passing that she knew how much we all loved her. Our little angel will never be forgotten. She leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, Dynasty and Victor Corey of Raleigh; her sister, Harmony Corey of the home; grandparents, Monique Johnson of Fayetteville, Sterling Smith of Fayetteville, Almeta Taylor of Fayetteville, and Willie Corey of Ft. Valley, Ga; five aunts, Aleah Johnson of Fayetteville, Charmira Murphy of Virginia, Isis Owen of Florida, Gloria Smith of Fayetteville, and Tyzieria Sanders of Lilly, Ga; three uncles, Pvt. DyJuan Taylor of Ft. Sill, Ok, Maurice Smith of Savannah, Ga, and Sterling Smith of Fayetteville, NC; godparents, Anthony Atera Thompson, Godsister Aysia, Godbrother Anthony Jr., all of Edgewater, FL; and a host of many relatives and friends who were awaiting her arrival. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p. m. on Friday, May 25, at Historic Oakwood Cemetey.
