Albert Strickland

September 19, 1938 — October 31, 2017

Albert Strickland, 79 passed away at home with his loving wife by his side. Albert was a native of Wake Co. the son of the late Dalton and Sara Strickland. Albert owned and operated his own trucking company. Funeral service will be Saturday Nov. 4 at 1:00 PM at Swift Creek Baptist Church on Penny Rd. in Raleigh. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Albert is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pearl Strickland; daughters, Lorella Tew and Patricia Robinson; step-daughter, Melissa Norman and husband Joey; step-sons, Randy King and wife Karen and Philip King; sister, Ann Jones; brother, Bobby Strickland and wife Mickie; 12 grandchildren Krystal Moody, Christopher Tew, Cody Robinson, Chase Robinson, Patrick Robinson, Jason King, Jonathan King, Jasmine King, Eliza Norman, Joshua Norman, Nathan King and Brandon King and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother David Strickland. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 PM at the church. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Swift Creek Baptist Church  9300 Penny rd. Raleigh, NC 27606.
