Alice Dudley Marshall, 86, died peacefully at home in Cary on August 4, 2020 following a lengthy illness. Alice was born in Harnett County to Meredith Herman Dudley and Annie Mae Dudley and was one of ten children. Alice was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church. She retired from the State of North Carolina, Division of the SBI with thirty (30) years of service. There will be a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM Monday August 10, 2020 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. (Face coverings are encouraged) Survivors include sons Donald Marshall of White Lake, NC (Two Grandchildren), Dwayne Marshall of Cary, NC (Fiancée Teresa Atwood), Daughter Cindy Marshall of Selma, NC Sister Dorothy Seaman and (Art) of Angier, NC, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, Heavenly Ray Ennis (Cotton Top) and her beloved pets Spooky, Tinker Bell, Marley and Pumpkin. Alice also wishes to extend a special thanks to her friends Jessie Gardner and Donna Chappell for their faithful and loving support during her lengthy illness. Dr. Bruce Usher and Dr. Marc Benevides for their excellent care and Heartland Hospice of Raleigh. Due to Covid-19 there will be no formal visitation, however Alice will lie in state Sunday from 12-5 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner for anyone wishing to sign the guestbook and pay their respects. (no family will be present ) Face coverings are encouraged. Donations may be made to Heartland Hospice of Raleigh.
