Alice Sue Honeycutt

Garner - Alice Sue Stephenson Honeycutt, 79, left this world for her heavenly home January 21, 2018. Born in Johnson County to Jack Stephenson and Mozelle Massengill Stephenson, she was the oldest of three daughters. February 3, 1956, she married the love of her life, Carl Jackson Honeycutt at the young age of seventeen. She graduated from Cleveland High School in June of 1956. Over the course of her life she worked at Nationwide Insurance, East Garner Jr. High and Wake County Human Services. But, her most prized accomplishment was her family whom she loved dearly. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved fiercely, unconditionally and unselfishly. She is survived by her children, Carlette Moser (David) of Silk Hope, Celeste Blankenship (Johnny) of Raleigh, Scott Honeycutt (Beth) of Garner; grandchildren, Marshall Moser, Kevin Moser (Amanda), Brythe Blankenship, Haley Dozier (Dakota), Arlie Honeycutt (fiancé, Evan Kidd), Jackson Honeycutt; great-grandchildren, Landon, Ava and Madeleine Moser; sister, Carolyn Brakebill (Jack) of Knoxville, TN; brother-in-law, L.G. Jones of Durham; sister-in-law, Marie Smith (Al) of Raleigh; dear friend, Margaret Maron (Joe) of Willow Spring; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carl Honeycutt, her parents, her sister, Barbara Jones and her nephew, Dean Langdon. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Benson Road, Garner. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to JDRF, 5510 Six Forks Road, Suite 107, Raleigh, NC 27609. “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her… Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” – Proverbs 31. We love you, our sweet mama and will miss you terribly.
