Allen Burchette Rowland

Allen Burchette Rowland, 82, passed Saturday, August 29, 2020. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Creston H. and Alma Burchette Rowland. Allen was in law enforcement for many years spanning from Farmville Police Department, Garner Police Department, and security for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture. He also spent some time as a truck driver during his career. More important than any of those accomplishments, though was his family. Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 4, 2020, at 1:00pm, in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Benson Rd. Garner, NC 27529. Friends are welcome to come and sign the register book and pay their condolences from 12-1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wake Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, 905 Wake Chapel Road, Fuquay Varina, NC 27526. Allen is survived by his daughters, Sherri Mann and husband, Jerry, of Benson and Shannon Rowland, of Garner; grandchildren, Brandy Kemal Jones, Keanna Rowland, and Dakota Mann; great grandchildren, Makayla Roth, Jayden Legg, Malakhi Jones, and Baby Kam on the way; sisters, Jean Holley, of Greenville and Frances Brown, of Goldsboro; and brothers, William “Bill” Rowland, of Kinston and Earl Rowland, of Raleigh, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his sister, Isabelle Coats, and brothers, Creston H. “Wendy” Rowland Jr., and James “Jimmy’ Rowland. The family would also like to thank Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab and Liberty Hospice for their support and help. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with the costs of the funeral expenses.
