RALEIGH – Almeta Gay Wallace, 99, died Wednesday. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Flyson and Eldora Carter Gay. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Survivors include her daughter, Rachel Pence; sons, Joe Wallace and wife, Lindsay of Raleigh, Forrest Wallace and partner, Carol Sparrow of Pittsboro, Michael Wallace and wife, Deborah of Garner; grandchildren, Virginia Gaye Porteous, Joseph Mitchel Pence, Pamela Lyne Pence, David Wallace, Drew Wallace, Ian Wallace, Melodee Milligan and Shaun Wallace and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Wallace, and brothers, Iolcust and Cameron Gay.
