Alyce Carolyn Dimmick Shull

Alyce Carolyn Dimmick Shull of Raleigh, NC died on September 1, 2022 in Cary NC. Born in Mt. Lebanon PA on April 4, 1935 to Earl Amber Dimmick and Marian Ziegenfus Dimmick, Carolyn graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School, Pittsburgh, PA, earned an undergraduate degree from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA, a graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, then taught in elementary schools in Upper Darbey, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Naperville, IL; and Wake County, NC.

She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Marian Dimmick, two sisters, Beryl Marian Dimmick and Isabelle Louise Dimmick Todd, and two brothers, Duncan Eugene Dimmick and Charles Earl Dimmick. She is survived by her husband, Daniel S. Shull of Raleigh; son, Daniel Amber Shull of Raleigh; son, Andrew William Shull (wife Amelia) of Durham, NC; daughter, Carolyn Isabelle Shull (husband David Felton) of Durham NC; grandchildren Benjamin Daniel and Emilia Rose Shull of London, Ontario, and Adylene Olive and Donovan Alder Shull of Durham, NC.

Visitation will be at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Rd., Raleigh, NC on Wednesday September 21 from 1pm-3pm. Private burial at Mount Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery in Columbia, SC will take place at a later date.
