CAPE CARTERET – Amanda Langdon Beck, 42, died peacefully Sunday at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington after a bravely fought battle with breast cancer. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of Rayvon Langdon and the late Brenda Dean Langdon. After graduating from Garner Senior High School in 1992, Amanda attended UNC-Wilmington where she graduated in 1996. She was employed as a branch manager with the SECU and was passionate about her job and serving the members that she considered family. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Thursday at McCullers Community Baptist Church, 133 Rand Road, Raleigh, NC 27603. Burial will follow at Fellowship Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-3:00 pm prior to the service. Survivors include her husband, Alex Beck; beloved daughters, Olivia and Lillian Beck; father, Rayvon Langdon of Clayton; brother, Ryan Langdon and wife, Carla of Willow Spring; nephew, Wesley Langdon and niece, Alyssa Langdon; as well as a loving extended family and her dog, Bella. Memorial contributions may be made to SECU Family House, 1523 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 or to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
