Amanda Langdon Beck

CAPE CARTERET – Amanda Langdon Beck, 42, died peacefully Sunday at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington after a bravely fought battle with breast cancer. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of Rayvon Langdon and the late Brenda Dean Langdon. After graduating from Garner Senior High School in 1992, Amanda attended UNC-Wilmington where she graduated in 1996. She was employed as a branch manager with the SECU and was passionate about her job and serving the members that she considered family. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Thursday at McCullers Community Baptist Church, 133 Rand Road, Raleigh, NC 27603. Burial will follow at Fellowship Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-3:00 pm prior to the service. Survivors include her husband, Alex Beck; beloved daughters, Olivia and Lillian Beck; father, Rayvon Langdon of Clayton; brother, Ryan Langdon and wife, Carla of Willow Spring; nephew, Wesley Langdon and niece, Alyssa Langdon; as well as a loving extended family and her dog, Bella.
