Amelia "Bobbie" Langdon

September 16, 1931 — May 1, 2022

ANGIER - Amelia “Bobbie” King Langdon, 90, peacefully joined her loving husband on Sunday in our Lord’s kingdom, in the beautiful room he has prepared for her. Bobbie was well loved by all who knew her. Her beauty and love shone a bright light on all she encountered; she was a beacon of God’s love. She was predeceased by her parents, Chester D. King and Mary Penny Roberts King; son, Steve Langdon and sister, Evelyn Penny. Bobbie was born in the McGee’s Crossroads community and along with her two sisters, helped tend the farmland in the small community. She met her husband, Cecil at a church gathering, fell quickly in love and married on March 7, 1948. They established their home in Garner, NC. Bobbie and Cecil were blessed with four children who had the benefit of two loving parents. Along with being gifted with arranging flowers, she enjoyed caring for her family as well as friends, and any others that came along her path-she never met a stranger! Chocolate and flowers were always welcome gifts, and she enjoyed nature and especially birds. Bobbie’s strength was amazing, even in her final days she would tell all her visitors how beautiful they were! Her kind spirit was like none other. Bobbie is survived by her three children; Amelia Pleasant of Angier, Drew Langdon of Raleigh and Penny Langdon of Cary; grandchildren, Langdon Pleasant, Carmen Langdon, Alek Wimberly and Brittany Langdon; great-grandchildren, Emory King Lineback, and her sister, Rachel Tripp; Hunter Langdon Adams and Maddox Fields. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday May 6, 2022 at Providence Presbyterian Church, 14664 NC 210 Hwy, Angier, NC 27501. Please join the family in the celebration of her life. A small reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Providence Presbyterian Church/ Cemetery Fund. The family would like to thank all the nurses, staff and friends who cared for her along her final journey.
