Andrew Johnston Blalock “Andy”

Andrew Johnston Blalock, 59, passed away Sunday.  He was the son of the late Bobby Neal and Lydia Jean Byrd Blalock.  He enjoyed working with the boys at Citgo Lube in Fuquay Varina. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church, Angier, with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery. He is survived by his fiancé and best friend, Gwen Blalock, daughter, Erin Sullivan (Jeremy) of Four Oaks, sons, Jamie Blalock (Angie) of Knightdale, Matthew Blalock (Tracy) of Raleigh, Clinton Blalock of Lillington, 4 stepchildren, sisters, Rhonda Thornton (Eddie) of Benson, B. J. Smale (Jerry) of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren, Jonathan Blalock, Joseph Blalock, Bailey Blalock, Grayson Blalock, William Sullivan, Austin Sullivan, 5 step-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Kathy Hughes Blalock, daughter, Ashton Blalock, and brother, Craig Blalock. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday night at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home and other times at the home of Deward & Amanda Woolard.  In lieu of flowers, make donations to UNC Children’s Hospital 101 Manning Dr Chapel Hill NC 27514 in memory of Andy and Ashton Blalock.
