Anne Arvin Johnson

Raleigh - Anne Arvin Johnson, 85, went home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2014. She was born in Leasburg, NC on April 23, 1929 to parents, Willie Clyde and Mary Elizabeth Arvin. She married Charles W. Johnson of Raleigh on June 2, 1945. Anne was a loving wife and mother. She had many hobbies that included water skiing, square dancing, gardening, sewing, and was an avid Rook player. Anne was a devoted Christian and loved her church family. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughter, Iris Johnson Senzig and husband, Randy of Raleigh; two sons, Johnny C. Johnson and wife, Sherrill of Garner and Tony Johnson and fiancé, Tracey Thompson of Raleigh; as well as her three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
