Anne G. Stanley

Angier- Anne Griffin Stanley, 91, passed away on Sunday at Betsy Johnson Hospital. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Griffin and Annie Stephenson Griffin. Anne was an active member of Kennebec Baptist Church where she participated in the Silver Saints and the group Women on Missions. She was also active in the local Young at Heart Club. She is survived by her son, Larry Wayne Stanley; daughter-in-law, Martha Campbell Stanley; grandchildren, Karen Stanley, (Sylvia), Chris Stanley, (Tracy), Natalie Wright; great-grandchildren, Cameron Caro, Lauren Allen, Hayden Stanley, Tanner Stanley, Emersyn Newman; brothers, J.E. Stephenson, Johnny Stephenson and Larry Stephenson. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Joseph Stanley; son, Michael Joseph Stanley; grandson, Marty Stanley; sisters, Iris Hayes, Jewel Temple; brothers, Dewitt Griffin, William Griffin, Gilbert Griffin, Royce Stephenson, Ralph Stephenson, Jimmy Stephenson; and a special aunt and uncle, Edna and Ralph Stephenson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Kennebec Baptist Church, Angier. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 pm prior to the service at the church.
