Anne lay down on her earthly bed to nap and woke up in God’s arms on Wednesday, August 10th. We are blessed she did not suffer or linger but ran joyously into the arms of Jesus. Born in Richmond County, NC to a farming family, she was the fifteenth of sixteen children of Thomas and Lola Staton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy T. Strickland; sons, Craig Cashwell and William Cashwell; seven sisters; and eight brothers. Anne was blessed to have eight children of her own. Surviving children are: daughters, Dorothy Maynor (Tony, deceased), Shelly Blalock (Lindy); sons, John Cashwell (Susan), Don Cashwell (Wanda), Phil Cashwell (Laura), and Ted Cashwell (Julia); lots of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Anne had several special friends who loved her like their own mother. We are grateful to her special neighbor, B.J. Welker, along with her church family at Temple of Pentecost. Condolences may be made to the family at bryan-leefuneralhome.com. Flowers are welcome and donations can be made to Temple of Pentecost.
