Annie Lee Franks Shepard

Garner- Annie Lee Franks Shepard, 92, passed away on Monday. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of the late L.N. Snooks Franks and Lydia Massey Franks. She was known as Mom Shepard and Granny Shepard by her loving neighbors and friends. A member of Hollands United Methodist Church for 78 years, she was an original member of the Quilters at Hollands. One of her joys was receiving cards and remembering others by sending cards. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Annie is predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Graham Shepard and brothers, Roy Franks and James Franks. Annie is survived by her daughters, Brenda Pleasant and husband, Gary of Clayton, Annette Fulcher of Apex; sister, Ruth Baker of Garner; brother, Lewis Franks and wife, Julia of Raleigh; grandson, Craig Pleasant and wife, Brenda of Clayton. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM at Hollands United Methodist Church, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh.
