Annie Ruth Jones

BENSON – Annie Ruth Jones, 90, formerly of Garner, died Thursday. A native of Johnston Co., she was the daughter of the late Raymond Lester and Lillie Mae Davis Hood and retired with the Department of Motor Vehicles. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur L. Jones, Sr. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Surviving: a son, Arthur L. Jones, Jr. and wife, Sandy of Benson; granddaughters, Denise Foldes and husband, Laz, Michelle Craig and husband, Wayne; grandsons, Arthur L. Jones, III and wife, Gina, Nelson Keith Jones, Jr.; sister, Margaret Creech of Boones Mill, Va.; ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Nelson Keith Jones, Sr. and two sisters, Esther Hales of Greensboro and Elizabeth Mitchell of Selma. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Terri Johnson for her extraordinary care.
