Willow Spring – Anthony John Gravagna, 78, passed away on Wednesday at his home. Tony had a passion for music and loved to cook for his family and friends. He had a colorful personality that touched so many lives. Many friends expressed overwhelming support and love during his illness and stayed by his side before his passing. Born in the Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Salvatore Gravagna and Angelina Calvaggio Gravagna. Graveside Services will be held on Friday at 12:00 PM at Eastern Carolina Veterans State Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Rd. Goldsboro, NC 27534. He is survived by his loving wife Karen Gravagna; beloved sister, Carol Santangelo; and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Ragusa, Eileen Mazza and Barbara Gravagna. There will be a memorial service celebrating Tony’s life on Sunday, September 25th at 4:00 pm at West Clayton Church of God, 143 Short Johnson Rd. Clayton, NC 27520.
