Anthony Leonard West

GARNER- Anthony Leonard West, 88, died Thursday at his home. Born in Pennsylvania, he was a veteran of the US Army and retired from the NC DOT. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday at Garner United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00-10:45 am prior to the service. Survivors include his wife, Mildred B. West; daughters, Terri Callahan of Avon, Kimberly Queen (Casey) of Kannapolis; step-daughters, Debbie Jeffreys (Grady) of Raleigh and Bridget Maddox (Pacer) of Wendell; step-son, Timothy Bunn (Debra) of Garner; sister, Frances Carrathars of New York; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his first wife, Sue West and brothers, Benjamin and Raymond West.
