Arimella “Millie” Owen

Arimella “Milly” Hockaday Owen of Angier passed peacefully at home August 26, 2015 at the age of 79. Born October 14, 1935 in Harnett County, she was the daughter of Thomas and Maggie Hockaday. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Willard, and their three children and families: son, Gary and wife, Jewel, daughter, Karen and husband, William Green, Jr. and son Jeffrey and wife Robyn; and four grandchildren, Stormy, Marissa, Miranda, and Lillian; and three great-grandchildren, Reese, Mason and Wyatt. She is also survived by her two sisters, Retha Mullins and Betty Lee. In keeping with Milly’s wishes there will be no funeral services, instead a private memorial service will be held.
