Arthur Ruis Eater

ANGIER - Arthur Eater, 100, passed away at Oak Hill Assisted Living Center in Angier, NC on Monday, December 18. Born in Illinois, he was the son of the late James J. Eater and Mary J. Pace Eater.

He was married to Bonnadine Phelps Eater for 79 years until her passing in 2022.

Arthur worked in heating and air conditioning and as a sheet metal worker at Eater Sheet Metal in Mount Vernon, Illinios. In 1996, he and Bonnadine moved to North Carolina to be close to family. Arthur and Bonnadine were members of Fellowship Baptist Church of Willow Springs, NC.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Mooney (Rick) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Tyson Mooney (Meredith) of Durham, Melissa Heath (Travis) of Dunn, Caleb Mooney (Jana) of Hickory; great-grandchildren, Zoeyjane Marie Gerraghty, Alexander Remi Canales, Hendrix Rane Canales, and Luke Arthur Mooney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Keith Eater, Olen Eater, and Marlin Eater; and a sister, Mildred Eater.
