Audrey Magdeline Smale

ANGIER – Audrey Magdeline Smale, 92, passed away on Saturday at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Marty McKitchen Upchurch and Excell Adams Upchurch. She was the widow of Jerrold "Joe" Norman Smale.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19th at 11:00 am at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Smale and wife, B.J.; sister, Jean Stookey; brother, Joe Upchurch; grandchildren, Milissa Acres, Jeffrey Smale, John Smale, Joshua Smale, Sarah Smale, and Ruth Smale Ward; and 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Upchurch Bell; and brother, Thomas Ray Upchurch.
