Audrey Mcdowell

GARNER - Audrey Jean Price McDowell, of Garner, NC went to her home in heaven on June 5, 2020. Audrey was born June 5, 1929 in Mount Union, PA, daughter of the late Lester Price and Mildred Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Winston and Ronald Price. Audrey, a licensed pilot, retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 30 years of service. During her tenure, she was presented with many outstanding performance awards. She loved to drive sports cars, sing in the choir, golf, watch birds, and play cards. In addition, she was a talented organist. Surviving her is her adoring husband George McDowell, daughter Pennie Culton, granddaughter Tammie Wilfong and two great grandchildren Zackery Wilfong and Heather Wilfong. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Mid-Way Baptist Church, Raleigh.
