Barbara Anne Morrison Swaim

Barbara Anne Morrison Swaim departed this life and crossed Rainbow Bridge on January 15, 2018. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. A graduate of High Point College, Barbara worked as a social worker prior to marriage and children, and then in the guidance office at Millbrook High School. In both careers, she relished the opportunity to know and to help other people. During her life, Barbara shared her love, her wit, her wisdom and her wonder with everyone she met. She will be greatly missed, but will live on in the hearts of those with whom she shared those gifts so generously. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, NC on January 28, 2018. The family will receive visitors at 2PM, followed by the Service at 3 PM. Inurnment in the Church Columbarium will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church (112 S. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27601) or to Second Chance Pet Adoptions (6003 Chapel Hill Road, Suite 133, Raleigh, NC 27607).
