Barbara F. Bailey

Barbara Ferrell Bailey, 74, passed away at her home Thursday. Born in New Hanover County, she was the daughter of the late William Graham Ferrell and Gladys Casey Ferrell. Mrs. Bailey was a missionary that worked in Child Evangelism. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Hayes Chapel Christian Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Spurgeon Harold Bailey, Sr.; daughter, Jennifer Odom (Rockey) of Burkeville, VA; sons, Tim Bailey (Angela) of Angier and Spurgeon Bailey, Jr. (Theresa ) of Willow Spring; brother, William Graham Ferrell, Jr. and wife Debbie of Burgaw; grandchildren, Lisa Ballard, Aaron Bailey, Christopher Odom, Spencer Bailey and Trey Bailey. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Casey Bailey.
