Barbara Stroud Rhodes

On July 29, 2016 beloved wife, mother and grandma, Barbara Allen Stroud  Rhodes, went to be with the Lord in her forever home. Barbara had fought a good fight against increasingly difficult health issues for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents Allen and Elizabeth Stroud and her only brother Glendale Stroud of Duplin County. Those left behind to grieve her passing are her beloved husband of 55 years, Linwood Rhodes, her son Michael and wife Susan; daughter, Jennifer Gibbs and husband Randy; much loved and adored grandchildren, Mark Youmans, Lane and Noah Rhodes, Colton and Presley Gibbs. Sisters, Carol Turner and husband Jake, Elaine Barbee and husband Craig. Also many nieces and nephews, close friends and extended family. She was a former pre-school teacher for many years and before her health issues became a problem she was active in church activities. She loved the Lord with her whole heart, Her prayer was for everyone to come to know the Lord as their savior. Memorial will be at 11:00 AM Monday Aug. 1, 2016 at Wildwood Freewill Baptist Cornwallis Rd. Garner. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday July 31, 2016 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner from 7:00 – 9:00 PM.
