October 7, 1933 — February 21, 2017

RALEIGH – Barbara Tyson Morgan of Richmond, VA, departed this world to be with her dear Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. She was born October 7, 1933 in Holly Hill, SC and raised in Raleigh, NC. Barbara joins her beloved Curtis Morgan in heaven. She is survived by her four children, James Scott Morgan (Rhonda), Daniel Curtis Morgan, Laura Morgan Kellerman (Dave), and Mark Jada Morgan (Christina); nine grandchildren, Jaime, Matthew, Anna, Curtis, Ava, Hallie, Morgan, Cory, and Tyler; great-granddaughter, LeighAnne; her brother, Robert; sister, Iris, and twin sister, Beverly. Barbara was a loving, caring, and beautiful person.  She was a graduate of Mary Elizabeth Hospital School of nursing and was a nurse at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC, prior to lovingly raising her four children.  She was the hands and feet of Christ here on Earth as she nursed the sick, took care of her neighbors, and loved her husband and children unconditionally.  Barbara shared her love of God singing soprano in her church choir.  She was a member of the Stonehenge Garden Club and enjoyed collecting antiques and ten-pin bowling. Barbara was a warm and friendly person who welcomed everyone, and we will all miss her loving spirit.
