Barton "Bart" Conchin

ANGIER – Barton “Bart” Willard Conchin, 77, passed away on Friday at UNC Health Johnston in Smithfield. Born in Johnson City, TN, he was the son of the late Willard Dempsey Conchin and Vonda Little Conchin.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 17th, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Rd. Garner, NC 27529. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Bart is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nancy Stewart Conchin; children, Dorothy Conchin Howell (Jonathan) of New Bern, and Christopher Michael “Mike” Conchin (Cyndie) of Corpus Christi, TX, step-children, Scott Baker (Kate) of Wake Forest, and Kasey Rolfes (Tony) of Weddington; sister, Tena Conchin of Alabama; brother, Gary Conchin (Mary Ann) of Alabama; grandchildren, Summer Barrentine (Kyle), Jonathan Howell, Bryce Conchin, MacEwan Baker, Jett Baker, Grady Baker, Anna Rolfes, and Renee Rolfes; and a great-granddaughter, Paisleigh Sutley.

In addition to his parents, Bart was preceded in death by his sisters, Rita Maples, and Anita Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel To Towers Foundation in Bart’s memory.
