Ben Hur Cotten

ANGIER, Ben Hur Cotten, 83, passed away Friday of cancer. A funeral service will be held at Bryan-Lee Chapel, Sunday, at 2:30 P.M. Burial will follow at Sandy Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Ben was son to the late J. Marcus Cotten and Byrdie Essie Barbour. Ben was a N. C. farmer for fifty years and recently retired from Johnston County Public Utilities, where he had worked for fourteen years. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Minnie Elizabeth (Lee) Smith, daughters, Catheryn Cotten, Benette Cotten Johnson and husband, Jerry, son, Donald Cotten, grandson, Samuel Elijah (Eli) Johnson, great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Samantha Johnson. Family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 - 8:00 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home.
