Benjamin Seton Harbeck

Benjamin Seton Harbeck, 31, passed away May 8, 2021. He was born August 1, 1989 to Glenn and Janet Harbeck. On October 7, 2017, Ben married the love of his life, Virginia Nichols Harbeck. They welcomed their daughter Katherine Bettye Harbeck on October 30, 2018. Virginia and Katherine were the light of Ben’s life. He was overjoyed when he found out that they had another little girl on the way. Nothing made him happier than being a husband and dad. Ben and Virginia owned and operated Harbeck Roofing and Remodeling, which, with the help of many talented and extraordinary employees, has very quickly become one of the premiere roofing companies in Eastern North Carolina. Ben was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He would always share his passion for the outdoors and teach his friends all the little things he had learned. Ben was also an Eagle Scout. No matter where he was, he could usually be spotted with Costa, his black lab. Ben never met a stranger and would lend a hand to anyone that needed help. He was never on time, mostly because whatever conversation he was involved in took all of his attention. Ben is survived by his wife, Virginia (Nichols) Harbeck of Angier; daughter, Kate; unborn daughter, Abby; parents, Glenn and Janet Harbeck of Wilmington; sister, Allison (Ben) Anders, of New York City; grandfather, Max Wiener, of Sykesville, Maryland; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of Ben’s life will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 12:30 pm. It will take place at Christ Community Church, 4555 Fairview Drive, Wilmington, NC and will be held outdoors on the lawn. Please “bring your own chair”, and, if you are local, consider bringing additional chairs for out-of-town guests who may attend.
