Bernard F. Young, 77, a native of Harnett County, passed away peaceful at his home on Saturday April 30, 2016. Following 20 years of service with Roadway Express he followed his passion and became a self employed home builder. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Young family cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce Beasley Young; daughters, Sharon Coats and husband Mitchell, Debra Weis and husband Timmy, both of Angier; a sister, Wilda Prince and husband Frank; sister in laws, Betty Jo Young, both of Apex, and Joyce Young of Angier; Grandchildren, Robin Hallman and husband, Chance, Garrett Smith, and Ryan Coats; A Great Grandchild, Mckenzie Thomas; Step Grandchildren, Logan, Ashton, and Garrett Weis, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Lundy and Frankie Young; a sister, Frances Reese, and two brothers, Bazil Young and Earl Young. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.
