Bessie Bridges Williams

Bessie Bridges Williams died peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Fred P. Bridges and Ava Honeycutt Bridges.

Bessie was a lifelong member of Garner United Methodist Church and the Nannie Bryan Sunday School Class. She was also Past Matron of Garner Chapter 321, Order of the Eastern Star with over 50 years of membership.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Goad; nephew, George Moon of Burlington; daughter, Amy; niece, Audrey Harty and son, Scott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Delmas Williams; son-in-law, Bob Goad; brother, John Bridges (wife, Catherine); brother, Ernest Bridges (wife, Joyce).

Bonnie would like to thank the staff of Lawndale Manor for their care and compassion for Bessie during her time as a resident.

Her visitation will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, from 12:00 to 12:45 pm in Bryan Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.

Her funeral service will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, at 1:00 in the Chapel of Bryan Lee Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
