Betty Foster Sowers

Betty Foster Sowers, 85, died Thursday, April 23. A native of Augusta, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Reba Eugene and Cora Sligh. She was retired from the State of North Carolina. There will be a Graveside service at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 28 at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Ellen Humphreys, brother Reba Eugene Sligh, Jr., daughter Lynda Keller and three grandchildren, Diana, Laura, and Elizabeth Keller. Betty is survived by her daughters; Debby Register and fiancée Danny Adams, Beth Pitts and husband Randy; two grandchildren, Michelle W. Smith and Karen W. Barefoot and her husband Rick; four great-grandchildren, Monica Smith, Kyle Parker, Marissa Smith, and Rylee Barefoot, and son-in-law Leon Keller. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28 from 1-2pm prior to the service at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
