Betty Horne Matthews

Garner – Betty Horne Matthews, 86, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. She was the daughter of the late George and Sue Horne.

Family will receive friends at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner on Wednesday, October 11, at 12:00 pm. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm.

Survivors include her husband, Bernard Matthews; son, Robert Matthews (Janet); granddaughter, Jessie Matthews; brother, Jerry Whitby (Kathy); sister-in-law, Barbara Matthews; nephews, Jason Whitby (Brandy), Jeremy Whitby, Tommy Matthews; niece Cathy Stevens; great-nephews, Jacob Whitby, Andrew Whitby, Christopher McLamb, Jonathan (Candice) McLamb; great-grandniece, Avery McLamb; great-grandnephews, Jacob, Bryce, Colin McLamb.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Transitions LifeCare of Raleigh for the care they provided Betty.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Transitions LifeCare of Raleigh or Highland Baptist Church of Raleigh.
