Betty Lenora Carlyle

Garner-Betty Carlyle, 86, of Raleigh, NC, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on April 26, 2022. Betty was born on April 3, 1936 to Hayward and Oddie Hegler in Lancaster, SC. In 1955, Betty met the love of her life, Bobby while working at a soda shop. They married May 26, 1956 and went on to have 3 beautiful daughters, Lynn, Cindy and Renee. Betty was preceded in death by her mother and Father, Brothers Hayward Jr and Jim Hegler. She is survived by her husband Bobby; children Lynn (Russ), Cindy (Michael), Renee (Steve); grandchildren Wes (Beth), Kevin (Afton), Lauren (Chuck), Keith (Jamie), JoDon, Breanna (Michael), Victoria, Robert (Anna), Melise, Dallas, Grant; and great grandchildren Lilly, Carly, Caleb, Elias, Eve’lynn, Levi, Elsie, Lindsay, Charley, Lenora, Willow. Visitation will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, April 27th, from 7:00-8:00 PM at Bryan Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Rd. Garner, NC. Friends are welcome to join the family at the graveside service on Thursday, April 28th, 2:00 pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1621 NC-55, Fuquay Varina, NC. Bryan-Lee Funeral Home will also hold a lie in state, April 28, 2022, at 9:00 am until 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to, The Capital Church Benevolence Fund.
