ANGIER-Betty Lee Thornton Partin, 92, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Earl (Bud) and Geneva Jones Thornton. She was a member of Angier Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:30 AM at Bryan Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:15 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughters, Andree (Onnie) Anderson, Betty Gwen Alwran and husband, John all of Angier; sisters, Francis Burch and Gail Honeycutt of Angier, sister, Geneva Ann Raynor and husband, Ed of Clinton; grandchildren, Camie Adams and husband, Jeff of Ford City, Pennsylvania; Richard Riggsbee of Angier; Ken Matthews and wife, Paige of Louisburg; Jake Alwran of Raleigh; Jessica Alwran of Angier and four great-grandchildren, Kyle Nettles, William Adams, Ezra Matthews and Jasper Matthews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Cameron Partin; son, Jerry Partin; sisters, Aberdeen Thornton, Ruth Williams and Shirley Thornton; brothers, W. E. Thornton, Leo Thornton, Rex Thornton and Billy Thornton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Angier Baptist Church Building Fund, 155 S. Hickory St. Angier, NC 27501 in Bettys memory.
