Betty Smith Mangum

ANGIER - God sent his best angel to bring Mrs. Betty Smith Mangum, age 68, of Angier, NC home on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC. She was born September 25, 1954 in Harnett County, NC to the late Curtis and Alice Smith.

She is survived by her husband, John D. Mangum, Jr. of the home; her children, Donald E. Hardman and his wife, Kelly, Travis C. Hardman and his wife, Amber, Tracy C. Hardman and her fiancé, Chris Martin, Gina Mangum Garner and Kristie Magnum Sheets and her husband, Glenn; her nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Brenda Smith Adams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Lewis Smith and Floyd Smith.

Her visitation will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 12:00 to 12:45 pm in the Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church with burial to follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier.
