Betty Sue Lee Johnson

Betty Sue Lee Johnson 83, of Raleigh passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday November 13, 2022. She was the youngest of the two children of Elmond and Yetive Wood Lee. Betty Sue married her childhood sweetheart, Sharon (Sha) Johnson of 65 years. Betty Sue’s common declaration to family and friends was, “The Lord has been good to me”. She was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family.

Betty Sue retired after 33 years of working with the State of North Carolina in the Probation Commission

and Department of Youth Services. She was a faithful follower of Christ and a member of Fellowship

Baptist Church of Garner.

Betty is survived by her husband, Sharon (Sha) Johnson; her son Danny Johnson and wife Melissa of

Garner, daughter Janet Faulk and husband Derek of Garner; son Mark Johnson of Four Oaks.

Grandchildren, Jordan Johnson and wife Jordyn of Four Oaks, Jenna Jones and fiancé Ian Lambe of

Massachusetts, Cameron Hall and husband Aaron of Benson, Connor Jones of Garner, Michael Calabrese

of Raleigh, Shelby Faulk of Garner and Kaylyn Johnson of Four Oaks. Great-grandchildren, Lane and

Reese Hall and Avery Johnson. Sister-n-law, Beverly Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 17 th , from 12-12:45 pm At Fellowship Baptist

Church in Garner. Funeral service will be held at 1pm following the visitation. A private burial will

follow for family.
