Betty Underwood Clark

Ms. Betty Underwood Clark, 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Wake Assisted Living Memory Care in Raleigh, NC. Ms. Clark was born January 20, 1942, in Cumberland County, NC to the late Walter Livingston Underwood and Edith Smith Underwood. Ms. Clark grew up in Fayetteville, NC and lived most her life in North Carolina. At age 50, she continued her education at the College of Albemarle in Elizabeth City, and went on to work in the health care profession until 2003. She worked in nursing homes, assisted living centers, and hospitals, and served as Assistant Health Director at Lawndale Manor Assisted Living Center for several years. Ms. Clark is survived by a brother, James Underwood and his wife Georgetta of Orange, TX, a brother John Underwood and his wife Joyce, in Harrison, TN, a sister Janie Stoermer in Isleton, CA, and a sister Lynette Steponik in Moyock, NC three sons: Jason Edge and his wife Cheryl of Garner, NC and Randy Edge of Raleigh, NC and Mark Davis of Clayton, NC, and his three children Emily, Lexi, and Landin. The family will have a memorial service in honor of Ms. Clark in the spring. Cremation will be provided by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner, NC.
