Bill Rudy, Jr.

GARNER- Daniel William (Bill) Rudy, Jr, 71, of Garner, NC unexpectedly died Monday, August 31, 2015. Born in Raleigh, NC on February 13, 1944, he was the son of the late Daniel and Margaret Rudy. Bill was a 1968 graduate of N.C. State University and an avid Wolfpack fan (Go Pack!). He retired after 29 years as Town of Garner Public Works Director. Bill is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sue Macon Crocker Rudy. His daughters are Leah Rudy Powell and husband, Joe of Garner and Holland Rudy Adams and husband, Donnie of Clayton. His grandchildren are Camdyn Olivia Adams, Anna Chandler Powell, Grayson Craig Adams and Ashtyn Nichole Powell. Other family includes his sister, Jacqueline Rudy Phelps and husband, John of Raleigh; nephew, John Y. Phelps III and his wife’s special aunt, Dorothy Crocker of Raleigh. A celebration of life service will be held in the Rudy’s backyard at 1514 N. Gleneagle Dr., Garner, NC at 3 pm Friday, September 4. Dress will be casual/comfortable. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society, attention: Garner Relay for Life.
