Billy Ashley Tripp, Sr., 86, passed away February 1, 2021. A native of Greene County, Billy was born January 2, 1935, to the late Bud Ashby and Evelyn Tyson Tripp. Billy loved spending time with his family and his little dogs, enjoying oyster roasts, cookouts, birthdays, holidays, working on his car collection, watching westerns, and watching wrestling with his nephews. For many years, he owned his own construction company and worked with people which were as close as family to him. Billy was known to all for being a very generous and kindhearted man. He had a great sense of humor and loved to bring smiles to everyone around him. He was a great father and friend. Billy will be enormously missed. Billy will lie in state on Thursday, February 4, 2021, from 4-7pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service on Friday, February 5, 2021, at 12pm at Montlawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Brenda McCabe Tripp; children, Billy “Ashley” Tripp, Jr. and wife, Kristiann, Caroline Tripp and husband, Rickey Quinn, and Dustin Tripp and wife, Amanda; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Patsy Perry; and brothers, Ricky Tripp and wife Theresa, and Roger Tripp. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Curtis Tripp; and 3 brothers, Kenneth Tripp, Jimmy Grimsley, and Autry Tripp.
