Billy Charles Gause, 84, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025. He was born in Tabor City, North Carolina, on August 9, 1940, and was the son of the late William Oliver Gause, and Beulah Ward Gause.
Billy was a gentle soul who honored his parents, loved God, his family, friends, and people in general. Talking to people about God and how Jesus died to save us was one of his favorite topics. Sometimes when passing the nurses station on his hall the nurses would say, "if you going down to see Billy, he's in there telling them about Jesus and talking in tongues". Hearing that always brought smiles from those around. He will be remembered fondly by his family, friends, and those he came in contact with as a man of great conviction, compassion, and love.
In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Davis and Eva Garrett; brother, Clifford Gause; and nephew, Ray Riggs, all of whom he loved very dearly.
Billy is survived by his sister, Shirley Capps; nieces, Barbara Jones, Julie Lane, Lynn Barnhill, Candy Payne, Marie Poling, and Brenda Bradley; nephews, Jeff Davis, Ronnie Gause, Gene Gause, Larry Gause, Joe Payne, and Gayle Payne; and many great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Billy's memory to The Temple of Pentecost, 2312 Lake Wheeler Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603.
