Bob G. Neal

RALEIGH – Bobby Gene Neal, 77, died Wednesday at Rex Healthcare. Born in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late C.P. and Annie McKinney Neal. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30-10:45 am prior to the service. Bob was a grading contractor for 40 years and was an avid collector of John Deere Tractors. He was devoted to his family and lifelong friends. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marion B. Neal; daughters, Wendy N. Galyean and husband, Mickey of Raleigh and Bobbie Gena Neal of Apex; grandchildren, Marsha Diggs and husband, Dan of Angier, Michael Galyean and wife, Shelby of Willow Spring and Christopher Bobby Neal of Apex, as well as five great-grandchildren. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to The Lane Meyer Scholarship Fund: NC Community Foundation, 4601 Six Forks Rd., Ste. 524, Raleigh, NC 27609.
