GARNER- Bobbi Jean Mullen Evans, 63, passed away Wednesday at Duke University Medical Center. Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late James Craven Mullen and Gertrude Elizabeth Leonard Mullen. She was a CNA and worked with the daycare of her church, Raleigh First Church of the Nazarene. Bobbi Jean was a generous, loving, accepting person. She had a huge heart and shared it with everyone, no matter who they were. She volunteered at the Woman’s Prison in Raleigh, visiting and ministering to prisoners. After a while, she began sponsoring women there. When some of them were released and had nowhere to go, she opened her home to them and helped them get on their feet. She loved to serve others, have a good time with her family and friends, and loved her Lord. Her husband and children were her world but her granddaughter was her heart! The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday at Raleigh First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Evans; daughter, Jennifer Jackson and husband, Joey; granddaughter, Chloe Jackson; son, Steven Sykes; brothers, Jim Mullen and wife, Ruth and Ken Mullen and wife, Chris; one niece, Laura Mullen and two nephews, Luke and David Mullen; stepdaughters, Nichole Crowe and husband, Charley and Krystal Evans; step-grandson, Joey Evans.
