Angier - Ella Frances “Bobbie” Wilkins, 83, passed away on Monday, Oct 20th surrounded by her loving family. A native of Harnett County and lifelong North Carolinian, she was the daughter of the late Britton Cleveland and Ella Frances Johnson Honeycutt. The Wilkins family was well-known in Harnett County, as the owners of The Family Restaurant, where Bobbie was revered for her southern fare and ever-present charm. She had an astounding love for all people and her warm, graceful, and hospitable nature embraced all those she knew. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00pm at Neills Creek Baptist Church where she was a member for over 50 years. Following the service, the family will receive family and friends to celebrate the life of Bobbie at the Campbell House, Buies Creek. Bobbie is survived by her daughters, Frankie Lynn Goss and husband, Chris and Kay Wilkins Stancil, all of Wilmington; sisters, Jean H. Smith and husband, M. R. of Angier; Christine H. Batten of Four Oaks, three grandchildren that she adored, Ryan Stancil of Chapel Hill, Tyler Goss of Angier and Tucker Goss of Wilmington.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Franklin Wilkins, sisters, Lois H. Johnson, Hazel H. Warren, brothers, Lacy Honeycutt, Jimmy Honeycutt and Roy Honeycutt.A formal viewing for Mrs. Wilkins will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the Church.Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the North Carolina Botanical Gardens, The University of Chapel Hill, Campus Box 3375 Chapel Hill, NC 27599.
