Bobby Henry Brown

Bobby Henry Brown, Sr., 84, died Tuesday. A self-employed Home Improvement Builder for many years, he later retired as the Chief Building Inspector for the city of Raleigh. A native of Wake Co., he was the son of the late Bruce and Mattie Campbell Brown. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 pm prior to the service at the church. Surviving: wife, Doris Atkinson Price Brown; daughter, Cathy Brown Powell and husband, Ron of North Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Bobby H. Brown, Jr. of Raleigh; step- son, Lee Price and wife Aelisch of Raleigh; sisters, Louise Watkins and Mary Ellen Buffaloe, both of Raleigh;  grandchildren, Shannon Powell and wife, Melissa, Landon Powell and wife, Allyson, Lauren Brown and  Meredith Brown; step grandchildren, Erin Price and Chris Price, great-grandchildren, Noelle, Holden and Ellie Powell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ollie Faye Gregory Brown, great granddaughter, Izzy Powell and brothers, B. L. Brown and Clayborn Brown.
