Bobby Ray Murphy

GARNER - Bobby Ray Murphy, 76, passed away on Monday. A long time resident of Garner. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Diane Hillard Murphy. He was the son of the late Edward and Pauline Murphy.

He is survived by son, Jason Murphy and wife Courtney of Clayton; daughter, Anita Williams and husband Don of Garner; grandchildren, Madeline and Clara Murphy, Lily and Edie Williams; sisters, Peggy Allen of High Point, Linda Williams of Burlington; brothers, Charles Murphy of Wendell and Tommy Murphy of Raleigh; sisters-in-law, Sue Freeman of Raleigh, Margaret Lusk of Garner, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Additionally, he was preceded in death by sister, Joyce Gilmore and brothers Robert Murphy and Kenneth Murphy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Ebenezer Methodist Church, 6020 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.
