Bobby Ray Thompson, Jr.

Bobby Ray Thompson, Jr., 59, passed away, Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Bobby was born August 19, 1962, to the late Bobby Ray and Lois Irene Bridges Thompson. Bobby was the owner/operator of many businesses throughout his career, including, Thompson Contracting, Poplar Pointe Marine, and Poplar Pointe Boat & RV Storage. In his free time, Bobby loved wake surfing, fishing, and boating. He had a passion for old cars, heavy equipment, and watering and mowing his lawn. When he had the chance, he loved traveling, but his biggest love was the time he spent with his family. Bobby is survived by his wife, Joann Thompson; aunts, Annie Fowler and husband, Willis and Doris Flewwelyn; cousin, Regina Britt and husband, Jerry; and his special friends, Jimmy and Kim Thompson, Mike Munns, Doug and Molly Cloud, Milton and Tina Barbour, Tammy and Dave Fellenstein, Steve Weis, Stacy Strackman, Paul and Kris Kuck, John Eberdt, Beth Cook, Dee and Jeff Price, Les Frahm, Rebecca Lynn, Mary and Mike Gregg, Kim and Jim Fritz, Amber Giles, Kim and Jimmy Thompson, David Thompson, and Beth Masho Quick. Funeral service will be held, Monday, November 29, 2021, at 3 PM, in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.
