Brenda Caroline Gooch

GARNER– Brenda Caroline Redd Gooch, 63, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her loving family on, October 9, 2024. A native of Wake County, North Carolina, she was born on June 19, 1961, and was the daughter of the late Robert Ray Redd, and Alma Jean Redd.

Brenda was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She will be remembered fondly by her family and friends as a woman of great strength and conviction.

In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lynn Gooch; and brothers, Ricky Reedy Redd, Donnie Gene Redd, and Rocky Durwood Redd, all of whom she loved very dearly.

Brenda is survived by her loving daughter, Jodi Yates Zettle (Michael) of Garner; sisters, Linda Gail Billings (Odell) of Smithfield, and Susan Langdon (Jeff) of Benson; brothers, Robert Allen Redd (Laura) of Wake Forest, and Mickey Ray Redd; grandchildren, Ayden Zettle, Christopher Sandy, Jr., Lourie Griffin, and Presely Griffin; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529. A committal service will follow at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601. The family will receive friends for a period of visitation at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home on, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
